He is the immediate past president of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) having served from 2012-2014.
He is a member of the advisory board with the National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) and Hispanicize.
Hugo has been recognized as “One of the Most Influential Hispanics In Sports” by Sports Illustrated.
