I’m an experienced Broadcasting and Digital Media professional directing growth, change and innovation in several divisions and business cycles for English and Spanish language markets. My career includes working within established structures, but applying an entrepreneurial spirit in developing new processes and working with new technology to remain competitive in the market place.
I am a believer that diversity drives innovation. I’m a consultant helping leaders and organizations create awareness in the workplace, build teams who put knowledge into action, provide crisis management counseling when necessary, but most importantly…put problem avoid systems in place. I apply intersectional thinking in developing content and marketing strategies relevant to multicultural audiences by being inclusive and reflective of them.
I am a popular author and guest speaker, I travel across the country giving lectures, joining panels and leading training sessions on career management, team building, media, innovation and D&I.
I think it is important to invest time in the community. To that end, I work with many organizations which champion the fair treatment of Latinos. I am a lifetime member, Hall of Fame inductee and president (currently serving a second term) of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ). I am a member of the business advisory board for the National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) and I am also on the programming committee for Hispanicize.
I’m the co-founder of the Latino Multimedia Communicators social media group which shares, discusses and supports professionals and their strategies/products of interest to the Latino community. You can find us on Facebook.
